FROM 20 to 2000, how the ss fabriK PARTY HAS ESTABLISHED A FORMIDABLE ART SUBCULTURE COMMUNITY IN ZIMBABWE
The very first edition of the Fabrik Party was a gathering of about 20 creatives at Mbare Art Space, ranging from stylists, visual artists, photographers and musicians within Harare’s art subculture scene. The platform has established itself as the home of a self governing collective, the creative’s revolutionary party, it is a celebration of vibrant street art and its emerging subcultures. Since 2020, it has grown to host 3000+ people at various venues in Harare’s CBD, offering creatives, tastemakers and creative craft enthusiasts a a safer space to experiment and express themselves through fashion, music, visual art , and skating in a way that its authentic to them, with the support and celebration of a vibrant and forward thinking creative community.
The Fabrik Party has since grown into a 3-day event spanning an entire weekend, from Friday to Sunday, with a day dedicated to workshops and DJ performances, and the final day dedicated to the highly anticipated runway.
